Look who’s fighting against gender ideology in B.C.
Parental rights appear to have a strong new voice in the BC legislature, and the governing NDP can’t stand it. Let me explain.
This all started when your MLAs returned to work for the start of the Fall Session, and the Conservative Party of BC’s leader, MLA John Rustad, finally had his turn to ask a question of the government – and that’s when he stepped up to speak out against gender ideology being taught in classrooms across the province.
Here’s exactly what John Rustad said on October 3rd, from the floor of BC's legislature:
“Thousands of British Columbians, many of them from minority communities, have been protesting against SOGI 123 which was originally introduced by the B.C. United Liberals."
"Parents are concerned about the sexualization of their children in this NDP government’s education system."
"Will the minister admit that SOGI 123 has been divisive, an assault on parent’s rights and a distraction on student education?”
It’s clear that Mr. Rustad is well aware of where parents stand on this issue, and it was heartening to hear him be so upfront about this in the legislature! We're not accustomed to Canadian elected officials speaking so boldly on moral issues
However, Premier David Eby didn’t like that challenge to his LGBT education policies, not one bit.
In fact, he fired back saying Mr. Rustad shouldn’t even be asking these kinds of questions because they “feed the fires of division” in British Columbia. Eby’s retort was outrageous when you think about it.
Forcing transgender and homosexual ideology onto children while they’re in school is the problem, not the fact that a member of the provincial legislature is standing up for vulnerable children and their concerned parents.

I have even more good news for you …
Mr. Rustad wasn’t the lone defender of parental rights in BC’s legislature
Later in the week, BC Conservative Party MLA Bruce Banman (Abbotsford South) followed up on the issue, reading a section from one of those LGBT propaganda books that the radical sex activists have managed to force into the schools, one that is aimed at sixth graders.
The excerpt from the book was so gross, so graphic, and so offensive, that the speaker of the legislature told Mr. Banman to stop using “that kind of language” …
Which made the point perfectly.
If a book aimed at children contains such foul and explicit terms that aren’t acceptable for elected officials to discuss in their parliament building…
How can material like this be even remotely appropriate for children?
The short answer is – it’s not and never will be
As you can imagine, the NDP downplayed Mr. Banman’s concerns in the name of “diversity” and “inclusion.”

Wow! @Conservative_BC MLA @BruceBanman just exposed the hypocrisy of the entire BC legislature.

New, natural home for social conservatives
With this bold defense of parental rights from the floor of the legislature, we can now say with certainty that, in terms of mainstream parties, the Conservative Party of BC has definitely replaced the BC Liberals as the new, natural home for socially conservative voters.
We hope this party will continue to grow and outstrip both the corrupt NDP and corrupt BC Liberals, and eventually form government.
Of course, we would be remiss if we didn't mention the BC provincial branch of the Christian Heritage Party. It is the only fully pro-life, pro-family provincial party in BC, and we would love to see their candidates win.
Also, please keep Mr. Rustad and Mr. Banman, and all of the CHP candidates, in your prayers, because our cultural battles are just the tip of what we see on the surface of what is truly spiritual warfare. We must be involved in that battle.
